Health care, at home

User Agreement

The terms you accept when you create a KwezaCare account and use the mobile application.

Version 2026-10 · Effective 13 October 2026 · Last updated 13 October 2026

A health care service by Worketech Limited, in partnership with Wandikweza Organisation

This agreement sets out what KwezaCare does for you and what we ask of you in return. In short: use the App honestly and for your own care or the care of someone you are entitled to arrange it for, keep your sign-in details to yourself, remember that the App is not an emergency service, and know that you can close your account whenever you like.

Accepting this agreement

By ticking the box at sign up, creating a KwezaCare account or using the KwezaCare mobile application (the "App"), you agree to this User Agreement and to the KwezaCare Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the App.

We record which version of this agreement you accepted, and the date you accepted it. That version stays permanently available at its own address so you can always read exactly what you agreed to.

Who you are agreeing with

KwezaCare is a health care service offered by Worketech Limited (Area 18A, Gomani Street, Plot 1, Lilongwe, Malawi) in partnership with Wandikweza Organisation.

  • Worketech Limited provides the App and the systems behind it.
  • Wandikweza Organisation provides the health care itself — appointments, home visits, nursing and clinical services — through its own qualified health professionals, and is responsible for the clinical care you receive.

What KwezaCare is — and is not

KwezaCare is not an emergency service. If you are facing a medical emergency, call emergency services or go to your nearest hospital immediately. Do not use the App to report an emergency — requests made through it are not monitored continuously.

The App is a way to arrange and manage care: to request appointments and home visits, to share information with your care team, to see what has been arranged, and to handle billing. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice by itself, and it does not replace a consultation with a qualified health professional.

Any clinical judgement is made by the health professionals who treat you. Information shown in the App is there to support your care, not to be relied on as a diagnosis.

Who may use KwezaCare

  • You must be 18 or older to create a KwezaCare account for yourself.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and arrange care on your behalf.
  • You must be able to enter into a binding agreement under Malawi law.
  • Clinic staff use the KwezaCare portal under a separate arrangement with their employer, not under this agreement.

Your account

  • Give accurate, current and complete information when you register, and keep it up to date. Care decisions and billing depend on it.
  • Keep your password and your device secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Do not share your account with anyone else, and do not use anyone else's account.
  • Tell us promptly at info@worketech.co.mw if you think someone else has access to your account.

We may suspend an account where we reasonably believe it is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, or in a way that puts someone at risk.

Arranging care for someone else

You can arrange care for a family member or dependant. When you do, you confirm that you are entitled to act on their behalf and to share their information with us, and that you have told them you are doing so.

You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us about them, and for any instructions you give on their behalf.

Using the App responsibly

You agree not to:

  • use the App for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
  • give false information about yourself, your health or the person you are arranging care for;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to another person;
  • interfere with, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or the systems behind it;
  • copy, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell any part of the service;
  • abuse, threaten or harass health workers or support staff.

Appointments and home visits

  • An appointment or home visit request is a request, not a confirmed booking, until the clinic confirms it.
  • Availability depends on staff, location and the nature of the care needed. We will tell you if a request cannot be met.
  • Please cancel as early as you can if your plans change, so that the slot can go to someone else.
  • Health workers may decline or end a visit where it would be unsafe or clinically inappropriate to continue.

Fees, billing and medical schemes

  • Fees for care are set by the health care provider and shown to you before you are charged.
  • Invoices and payment records appear in the App.
  • Where you use a medical scheme, you are responsible for giving accurate membership details, and for any amount your scheme does not cover.
  • Late or unpaid invoices may lead to care being paused until the account is settled.

Your information

How we handle your personal information is set out in the KwezaCare Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement. In summary: we collect only what is needed to arrange and deliver your care, the App does not store your health records, we never sell your information, and we do not track you for advertising.

Intellectual property

All content, software, systems and medical tools within the App are owned or licensed by KwezaCare. You may use the App for your own care and for the care of those you are entitled to arrange it for. Nothing in this agreement transfers any ownership to you.

Information you provide stays yours. You give us permission to use it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Service availability

We work to keep KwezaCare available and accurate, but we do not promise that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, network problems, device issues or events beyond our control may interrupt it. Features may change, and we may add, modify or withdraw parts of the service.

Ending this agreement

You can close your account at any time, from the Profile tab in the App: tap Delete Account and confirm. You do not need our permission and you do not have to give a reason.

Your account closes immediately and your personal data is erased within 30 days, except where a legal obligation requires a record to be kept — billing records required by tax law, for example, or clinical records the health care provider must retain. The Privacy Policy explains this in full.

We may end or suspend this agreement if you seriously or repeatedly breach it, or where we must do so by law. Anything you already owe for care received remains payable.

Liability

Nothing in this agreement limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, Worketech Limited is not liable for loss arising from your use of the App that we could not reasonably have foreseen, including loss of profit, data or opportunity. Responsibility for the clinical care you receive rests with Wandikweza Organisation and the health professionals treating you.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Malawi, and the courts of Malawi have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it. If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest of it continues to apply.

Changes and contact

We may update this agreement as the service or the law changes. The version and dates at the top of this page show when it last changed. If the changes are significant we will tell you in the App or by email, and we may ask you to accept the updated agreement before you continue.
