Overview

Presbyterian Hymns is a hymn book app published by Worketech Limited. It is designed to let you read, search, and listen to hymns — nothing more. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with information.

The short version: we do not collect personally identifiable information, we do not track you, and everything you save inside the app stays on your device.

Information we collect

Presbyterian Hymns does not collect personally identifiable information. We do not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, phone number, or payment details in order to use the app.

Because we do not collect personal data, we have no personal data to sell, rent, or share with third parties.

Favourites and preferences

Your favourite hymns and your reading preferences are stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard app storage. This data never leaves your device and is used solely to provide the app's functionality.

Information stored on your device includes:

• Hymns you have marked as favourites
• Reading preferences such as font size and line spacing
• Recently viewed hymns and your last reading position
• Your chosen hymnal, language, and display settings

Analytics and advertising

This app does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track your usage, location, or behaviour, and we do not build advertising profiles.

The app contains no advertisements and no in-app purchases.

Device permissions

Presbyterian Hymns requests only the permissions it needs to work. It does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location.

The app can play hymn audio through your device's standard media playback, including in the background and on the lock screen. This is handled entirely by your operating system.

Internet access and third-party services

Hymn content is bundled with the app or downloaded from our content servers so that hymns remain available offline. Where the app connects to the internet — for example to fetch updated hymn content or media — the request carries only what is technically required to deliver that content and is not used to identify you.

If you choose to share a hymn, the app hands the content to your device's share sheet. Anything that happens after that point is governed by the privacy policy of the app you share to, not by this policy.

Distribution platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play may independently collect installation, crash, and diagnostic information under their own privacy policies. We do not control that collection.

Data storage and security

Because your favourites and preferences never leave your device, they are protected by your device's own security — your passcode, biometric lock, and operating system sandboxing.

If you delete the app, the data it stored on your device is removed with it. You can also clear your favourites and reset your preferences at any time from within the app.

Children's privacy

This app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no inappropriate content and is suitable for all ages.

Since no personal information is collected from any user, no parental consent mechanism is required. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will act promptly.

Your rights

Data protection laws — including the Malawi Data Protection Act and equivalent legislation elsewhere — give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you.

In the case of Presbyterian Hymns, we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or erase on request. Your app data is entirely under your own control on your device. If you contact us with a question or request, we will respond and confirm this in writing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Check this page for the latest version.

Material changes — for example, if the app ever began collecting personal data — would be communicated in the app itself, not only here.
